Well, it’s been a bit, hasn’t it?
I have been planning a general update post for some time but haven’t actually sat down to write it yet. There has been a lot going on around here and I feel what I’d like to say deserves its own post.
This post today is a short but sweet icebreaker of sorts.
I want to share I was contacted for a quote on eclectic interiors by the Rent.com blog and shared my thoughts on how to successfully create an eclectic interior, and they featured my quote! You know I’m not succinct, yet they included the whole thing. You can read it here (it’s in the section at the end), along with tips from other designers. They’ve got a lot of great design tips in their posts from designers, definitely worth a read. Thanks, Wesley!
In other news, school back in session with both of my children out of the house for the entire school day for the first time, and I am excited to get back into working with a full work day at my disposal for the first time in (wow, to write it out!) 9 years. I’ve started working with a fantastic new fabric printer that has the most luscious Belgian linen ground cloths and I am really excited for the jump in quality.
You can see some samples from the new printer below with my dots print on 100% oyster Belgian linen and a Belgian linen-cotton blend, and my signature monogram on the oyster linen. The zebra print is an old velvet sample I found in my studio which I am feeling picky about and re-working, and the middle sample is an outdoor fabric swatch of what I used for cushions around my pool – which I don’t think I ever actually shared here.
So, you’re due for updates. Stay tuned. I’ll let you know what I’ve had going on and share what’s to come around here very soon. Thanks for following along!
C’est tout!
