Currently, fabric orders will be ready to ship to you within about 2 weeks.
My fabric printer is experiencing production delays. I am accepting orders but timelines will be updated according to their ability to meet demand.
I’m continuing to sell fabrics during the COVID-19 crisis, with precautionary measures in place. I’m following the latest research and recommendations from the CDC both at home and my studio to protect our family against the coronavirus, and in turn protect you.
Our household has been in self-isolation for three weeks as of April 1st. For our own safety hereat home, we have been isolating packages and mail for a minimum of 24 hours before handling them. Out of an abundance of caution due to the fact that I am classed as a high risk individual, we are also wiping down incoming packages with a hydrogen peroxide spray to kill pathogens.
How to Safely Receive Your Fabric
Per the latest research study, COVID-19 is detectable on surfaces for up to several days, but the risks of handling mail are considered low, and thorough handwashing is recommended afterward. The risk of the virus being transmitted via fabrics and clothing is also considered low, since fabric enmeshes and dries out the virus membranes, rendering it trapped, and eventually ineffective.
The CDC has a comprehensive home sanitization guide for reference. It says to wash fabrics according to manufacturer’s instructions, with the warmest recommended water temperature.
I do not wash your fabrics prior to delivery out of consideration for any detergent allergies or sensitivities you may have. Please wash your fabric as you normally would before use, as follows:
Velvet: Wash in cold water with a phosphate-free detergent.
Cotton Sateen & Linen Cotton Canvas: Wash in warm water with a phosphate-free detergent.
Shipping Timelines
My orders are still printed on demand, and delays will vary according to their current limitations. The measures we are taking at home prior to my quality checks on your fabric orders may delay your orders by 1-2 business days in addition to printing delays – the flexibility of the timeline is built into your order processing estimates when you place your order on Etsy, and I will contact you if timelines have changed once you place your order.
